VETOING REP. FOSSELLA
VETO FOSSELLA is dedicated to exposing Rep. Vito Fossella's (R-NY13) Congressional record. His Congressional district, NY-13 is made up of Staten Island and the Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst and Gravesend neighborhoods of Brooklyn. Our sympathies if he is your Representative.

There are many reasons for the constituents of his district to 'veto' him in 2008. Maybe it is his corruption highlighted by his use of campaign funds to go on lavish trips. Or maybe it is the money he takes from disgraced former members of Congress such as Tom DeLay (R-TX) and Bob Ney (R-OH) and criminals such as Jack Abramoff, Tony Rudy and Neil Volz. Or quite possibly it could just be his failure over his time in Congress to actually introduce legislation that would benefit his district instead of wasting away his time by writing up resolutions demanding the Post Office create new stamps. Sadly he actually did that!

Whatever your frustration with Rep. Vito Fossella, you have the chance to finally VETO Vito Fossella and send someone to Washington D.C. to actually do some work. Don't feel bad for him though, it will give him more time to ski with lobbyists in Colorado. That is assuming he isn't indicted before then.

VETO FOSSELLA!

Rep. Fossella opposed Congressional assistance in the provision of affordable housing to low-income families affected by Hurricane Katrina. H.R. 1227, Vote #172 3/21/2007
Rep. Fossella regularly uses his ability to make the lives of Americans better by introducing resolutions such as H.CON.RES.138 on 04/21/2005, expressing the sense of Congress that the United States Post Office should issue a commenorative stamp honoring Jasper Francis Cropsey, a Staten Island native and painter.
Rep. Fossella opposed expanding access to the military's TRICARE health insurance program to thousands of Reservist and National Guard members, even though 20 percent of all Reservists do not have health insurance, and 40 percent of Reservists aged 19 to 35 lack health coverage. H.R. 1815, Vote #221, 5/25/2005
Rep. Fossella voted for H.R. 5, roll call #6, 01/04/2005 allowing Tom DeLay (R-TX) to remain in the position of Majority Leader even if he were to be indicted. DeLay later was indicted and forced to resign from Congress.
